Swing was developed as a culm...Interesting post....<br />Swing was developed as a culmination of many dances (roots in Charlston, Peabody, and Foxtrot), and many Lindy dancers claim they can dance to anything but prefer the older jazz. ECS same thing, dancers claim they can dance to any music but stick to rock and roll. Lindy still borrows a lot as Charlston moves are quite popular as is the incorporation of Balboa and Shag. WCS is going through a growth phase at the moment where it is taking a lot of hustle & hip hop influenc.
